Tha B.U.M.P Joins Moms Demand Action for Better Gun Sense

New York members of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America gathered on June 3rd wearing orange. Moms Demand Action was founded by stay at home mom Sharon Watts on December 15, 2012, response to the devastating shooting at SandyHook elementary school. The organization quickly became strong in numbers leading force for gun violence prevention. Westchester county chapter joined and rallied together with Moms, Dads, daughters, sons and even dogs. Who all believe that there is a need for better gun sense laws.

Tha Brown Urban Mother Partnership founder Cynthia Turnquest-Jones, joined Moms Demand Action in 2012 as well. “Many people do not understand that we support the Second Amendment, but we believe common sense solutions will help decrease the escalating epidemic of gun violence that kills too many of our children and love ones daily.”

The 5th Annual National Gun Violence Awareness Day march across Brooklyn Bridge was a great success. Awareness was the mission. Everyone was excited, we wore orange and loaded the Brooklyn Bridge. We will continue to champion towards common sense middleground solutions to the escalating problem of gun violence in America.
