I just finished sitting in a class titled “The Proper Perception” conducted by Omar Yamini. Omar Yamini explained why students should read his book “What’s Wrong With You” (What You, Your Children, and Our Students Need To Know About My 15 Year Imprisonment From Age 20 to 35). Omar’s presentation included a life-sized 10×10 foot cell. He is on a mission to show students the realities of prison life as a way to disrupt the school to prison pipeline.
